Diane is primarily an outdoor painter. She prefers to work directly from Life and enjoys the communion with Mother Nature saying "It engages all the senses. You feel the breeze, smell the air, hear the birds, as you see the beauty before you". In the tradition of impressionism, she strives to capture the fleeting light with expressive, painterly brushstrokes.

The Spitfire Grill
A Musical by Fred Alley and James Valq

Festival Theatre will return to it's home in The Historic Auditorium of St. Croix Falls with 'The Spitfire Grill'. Based on the hit 1996 film, The Spitfire Grill is a heartwarming and inspirational musical tale of redemption, perseverance and family. A troubled young parolee yearning for a fresh start follows her dreams to Wisconsin, based on a page from an old travel book, only to find a small town with a gritty heart aching with longing and regret. Unexpectedly discovering the healing power of community while working at the Spitfire Grill, Percy reawakens the entire town’s capacity for rebirth, forgiveness and hope. It’s not hard to eat your five-a-day when you’ve visited the HealthPartners Clinic weekly Farmers’ Market, packed with fresh, locally grown veggies, fruits and other produce. Other items available may include honey, bees wax products, pickled foods, canned goods, plants and also a food truck.

Harvesting layers, textures, and earth tones, these five artists utilize natural materials in diverse ways.

The exhibition features hand embroidery artist Alycen Brothen, mixed-media artists Sharon Grosh and Mary Welke, potter S.C. Rolf, and botanical printmaker Linda Snouffer.

The cycles of birth, growth, death and renewal are reflected in their pieces, leaving a record of time.

Cruisin' on the Croix invites owners and car lovers to exhibit and view vintage, classic, street and hot rod automobiles in a beautiful river town stetting of Stillwater, Minnesota. We have dashboard plaques for the first 100 cars and a terrific crew to welcome owners into the show. From genuine antique cars to sublime '50s roadsters, visitors can see it all!

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to chat with your favorite mystery authors? This event for local mystery writers and their fans always includes lively discussion and a great time!  A cash bar is also available so come early to mingle.

By the end of this DRY LAND course, you’ll have all the knowledge you’ll need to catch your first fish on the fly! Thanks to a grant from the National Park Foundation, we will provide all the necessary equipment and teach you the basics such as knot tying, fly casting, wading safety, fish species identification, regulations & ethics. All you need to bring is a positive attitude, weather-appropriate clothing and water bottle!

Event starts at 6pm and we will meet in the parking lot of each location before beginning the program. This course is suggested for those 13 years and older.

Of all the superstars of classic Hollywood, Jimmy Stewart played the widest range of roles. Just below the surface of his image as a folksy everyman, there was a simmering rage that made him a surprisingly powerful screen presence. In this talk, we will survey Stewart’s most important films, from the screwball comedies of his early career to the dramas he made for Frank Capra and his westerns with Anthony Mann. We will also try to visualize an invisible, six-foot-tall rabbit.

Presenter is Steve Schroer. Schroer is a former professor who has taught a variety of courses in the arts and humanities. His favorite James Stewart movie is Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, which might also be his favorite movie, period.

Summer Breezes will run August 8 to September 21 and offer a sweet indoor venue for all your Summer art market shopping!

Art’s House Gallery & Gift Boutique offers unique local art and gifts year-round, and the
Summer Breezes Show will be open through the Art on the Kinni Art Fair on September
7th. The “Meet the Artists” reception will be held on Thursday, August 15 from 6:00–8:00
PM. We’ll welcome back musician Anders Villwock and enjoy light refreshments, good
company, and great art.

With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
Winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Book and Best Original Score, The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Golden Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another.

Take Me to the River is a celebration of the arts featuring ten fabulous art events over five fall weekends. Over the years, thousands of people come to the St. Croix River Valley to experience the amazing natural and artistic spaces of the region. Art on the Kinni features 70+ juried artists, a children's art tent, two musical venues, and food vendors. Many of your friends and neighbors were among 2023’s crowd of close to 6,000 art lovers who provided a steady stream of foot traffic along the scenic Kinnickinnic White Trail, Heritage Park, and Veteran's Park. CAB is proud to call this our signature event as it has turned out to be a great way to enjoy one of the last days of summer each year in a truly friendly atmosphere. AOK is an annual can't-miss event in River Falls! Free to attend!

The Bands for the Brave mission is to support our Veterans. We do so by raising money for charities that we believe help our heroes and that maintain low to no overhead so that all monies raised make a meaningful impact. This event is made possible by sponsors. Join us for live music all day long at our indoor and outdoor stage. 

The Hudson Hometown Music Fest , now in its 9th year, has become a fall tradition for our community.   The Music Fest aspires to bring the people of the Hudson and surrounding  communities together and strengthen our sense of community  and do it all through  a family-oriented event with Free admission.

The Music Fest provides 5 local bands, kids Disney performances from 1145am 1230pm,  8 local local food vendors, beer , wine, Seltzer, and NA moctails to purchase, fun activities for kids  and a dunk tank.   We  will have a Large silent auction and wine-pull auction to raise money for St. Croix Food Bank.  100% proceeds of the auctions go to this year's outreach.    Please come enjoy the fun activities and great music and local food vendors and beverages.

Please join us for Saint Croix Vineyards' annual Grape Stomp! Minnesota's ORIGINAL stomp. The oldest and still the best!

It's free and fun for the whole family! Take a turn stomping grapes the old-fashioned way or let your kids give it a try. Prizes will be awarded to those with the best grape-stomping style (as determined by audience applause). Try food from the food trucks, take a tour of the vineyard and winery, listen to great live music, relax with a free mini massage and, of course, enjoy our award-winning wines!

The festival backdrop is beautiful Lake Elmo Park Reserve 2,165-acre parkland, 30 miles east of the Twin Cities metro area. As a park reserve, 80% of the parks total land will be restored to pre-settlement, native vegetation. It’s a great place to recreate, camp, and enjoy nature.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for an afternoon of enjoyment. Family Friendly. Camping available on-site, food trucks on-site, and face painting! Please, no animals or alcohol at the festival.
The Bluegrass Festival is free. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park.

Join us for the Running of the Meatballs during Scandia’s Taco Daze festival on the first Saturday after Labor Day.  Running of the Meatballs is our annual FUNdraiser. You purchase a meatball (really the number on a meatball), and then cheer your meatball on, as it rolls down Oakhill Road before the Taco Daze parade. You do not need to be present to win.

Tickets are $5 apiece and can be purchased in the gift shop or from a roaming ticket seller before the race that starts shortly before the Taco Daze parade on Saturday, September 7th, 2024.

The meatballs are released and roll wildly down Oak Hill Road into the chute. Prizes are awarded to the first 10 balls down the hill as well as the last one.
