Friday, December 9 - This weekend features sugar & spice and everything nice! Enjoy holiday lights, sweet decorations, & the sounds of Victorian Carolers! 5:30-7:30 p.m

Saturday December 10 - Gingerbread House Building Contest

The community is invited to pull out their rolling pins, grab a frosting bag and build gingerbread houses for submission in our first annual Contest! Free and open to all ages and skill levels! 10 am - 2 pm at Water Street Inn. REGISTER for Gingerbread House Building Contest HERE!  See FLYER with details HERE!

Buddy the Elf will be making an appearance too from 11 am - 2 pm - Snap a photo with your family and everybody's favorite, fun-loving Elf!

Enjoy horse-drawn Wagonette Carriage Rides from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Sunday December 11 - Santa & Reindeer

9 am - Noon Annual Breakfast with Santa at Water Street Inn - Bring your kids to visit Santa, a delicious kid-friendly breakfast buffet and fun holiday activities.

Santa Claus is coming to (down)town with 3 of his trusty reindeer.  Great time to get a family photo! And you still have time to get on Santa's good list!

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced birder, these hikes are a great way to get outdoors, listen to the sounds of nature, and learn to identify the birds that call the St. Croix Valley home.

Participants also have the opportunity to contribute to citizen science data collection by completing bird count surveys with your guide. The surveys collected will assist our Natural Resources team and related work in conjunction with the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Fund grant.

Santa is coming to KCAP! He’ll be here from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday December 10th & 17th to take pictures with you and your little ones. Or they can just just watch him in awe as they paint an ornament. Get your tickets, reserve your time, this event fills up fast. Don’t forget to add a “Cookies for Santa” plate to your cart, it makes a great heirloom with the kiddos hand prints on it and Santa’s if you would like!

Please notice each ticket has a specified Start time but you are welcome to paint for as long as you need. Choose the time that works best for you!

Join Wild Rivers Conservancy, National Park Service, and teachers like YOU by diving deep into our K-12 environmental education curriculum, Rivers Are Alive. We will spend the day exploring engaging activities, educating ourselves on the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and it’s watershed, and reconnecting with nature through an outdoor adventure.

A catered lunch, coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided.

CEU’s available upon request.

Deadline to register is Friday, December 1st.

Fire Cider is an herbal health tonic and folk remedy that helps boost your immune system, improve digestion, and prevent a cold or flu. This traditional remedy of apple cider vinegar and herbs is the perfect DIY health tonic for daily use using the ingredients from your grocery store. In this class you will learn how to make your own Fire Cider using the kit that is included in the price of the class. The kit includes all the ingredients for making a pint of fire cider and will be available in the class. The recipe will be sent after registration.

If you would like to make the fire cider in the class, bring a cutting board, a knife, and a quart jar.

Register early, class limited to 10 people.

Instructor: Liza Docken of Pranarom

Cost: $15 (includes kit, which will be distributed at the beginning of the class).

Liza Docken is a Wellness Educator for Pranarōm Essential Oils. She has been in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years, teaches yoga and meditation, and is a Reiki practitioner. Liza has studied with many experts in the fields of Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic health, and Flower Essences, among many others. She lives and practices in Minneapolis, MN.

Caring for indoor plants is a little different than caring for outdoor plants but with a little special care and consideration, you can keep your indoor plants healthy and avoid common problems. In this class, you will learn what your houseplants need to thrive, especially in winter. U of M Extension Master Gardener volunteers are eager to share research-based gardening best practices that promote healthy landscapes, healthy foods, and healthy lives with the people in their community.

Instructor: Ramsey County Master Gardener

Cost: $5/free for co-op owners
