“I’ve been waiting for you my whole life…come fly with me”
The inspiration for my bird house came from my love of old sheet music and the history of music, relationships, love and how they are intertwined. The birds represent all of us on our journey through life with those we love. The glitter sun around the opening represents the feeling of happiness at being home.
Materials used; vintage sheet music, acrylic paint, coat hanger, aluminum can and glitter.
Artist Bio: Janella Fesenmaier
Most of my life has been spent involved in the arts as a lover, student, creator, collector and dealer. When I was eight years old I wrote that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up, it felt like it was something I was destined to do or at least be a part of. I focused on the arts in high school and on through college, graduating from Hamline University in 1994 with a BA in fine arts and a minor in communications. Since graduating I have worked as gallery director for an art and framing gallery in Minneapolis. I also enjoy working on my own pieces of art and like experimenting with different styles and mediums. Some of my work is collage as I like to mix different materials together to offer more depth or texture to a piece.
