This unique piece was inspired by the young artist’s love of nature with each face of the birdhouse capturing the beauty of a different Minnesota season. The scenes were created using an acrylic paint medium. An interesting detail is that a tiny version of this birdhouse hangs amidst the branches of the autumn tree.
Artist Bio: Emmanuel Hanson
Emmanuel Hanson is a talented homeschooled 13 year old artist who enjoys creating in a variety of mediums. Her love of nature was inspired by the annual mother/daughter wilderness trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area prior to her mother’s brain injury two years ago. The birdhouse was undertaken as a project that the mother/daughter team could work on together. Emmanuel painted all the background and scenery; her mom added the flowers and wood roof detail.
