DEEP MAPPING Explore the places and stories of the St. Croix River basin with multiple maps by St. Croix 360 founder and writer Greg Seitz. This exhibition and the work for his upcoming book (UMN Press, 2028) will look past the usual tropes of lumberjacks and settlers to the diverse peoples, ecosystems and communities that have created the watershed as we know it today. A Dakota language map by Marlena Myles showing Minneapolis (Village of Many Lakes) & St. Paul (Village along the White Cliffs) will also be featured. This exhibit is in conjunction with Valley Pottery: 2,000 years VALLEY POTTERY: 2,000 YEARS The St. Croix valley is famous for its vibrant community of ceramic artists, but did you know that pottery traditions in the St Croix valley go back over 2,000 years? Ed Fleming, archaeologist with the Science Museum of Minnesota, has been studying these ancient traditions and how pottery styles demonstrate trade and movement along the rivers of the Midwest. “The St. Croix is this great north-south corridor that crosses biomes,” Fleming says. “It connects the north woods to the prairies.” Potters working here today created pieces inspired by the forms, decorations and stories they learned about during a recent visit to the Science Museum in St. Paul. In the Gallery: Rita Zawislak-Brandt
Presented by Stillwater Public Library at Stillwater Public Library Stillwater, MN
Through My Eyes, a gallery exhibit by artist Rita Zawislak-Brandt, is on display during library hours in April. Rita’s lifelong career in art spans graphic design, illustration, and fine art. From her early work in the Minnesota Mutual Art Department and an advertising agency in Hanover, New Hampshire—where she created architectural renderings of the Hanover Inn at Dartmouth and Vermont Law School’s Old Main—to her role as graphic artist, designer and director at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, Rita has embraced artistic challenges ranging from 3D campus maps and arena center-ice designs to large-scale murals. Now, through expressive figurative pieces, landscapes, portraits, and architectural renderings, she blends abstraction with realism to explore emotion, pattern, and color. Each piece reflects her belief that art is a personal journey—one she hopes will inspire visitors as they view the world, and perhaps their own experiences, through her eyes. Artist Statement: "Showing my work at the Stillwater Library gives myself a connection with my art to another community audience. I have been able to enrich my art ideas by viewing the other artists that are on display in the Stillwater Gallery area over the past years. I would like to display my work so others can be inspired by a connection to my nature/landscapes paintings. Then through my figurative pieces have a personal imaginative memory."

Unforgotten Washington County Stories from the Korean War
Presented by Washington County Parks at Washington County Historic Courthouse Stillwater, MN
The Korean War (1950–1953) is often called the “Forgotten War,” overshadowed by World War II that ended just five years earlier. But in Washington County, it is anything but forgotten. Eleven local men were killed in action during the war, and their stories continue to live on in the memories of families, friends, and the community they left behind. Their service, sacrifice, and experiences form a powerful chapter in our shared history. Visit the Washington County Historic Courthouse to explore an exhibit that brings these stories to life.

An Evening With Spirit
Presented by Locale Makers Market & Boutique at Locale Makers Market & Boutique Stillwater, MN
After three unforgettable events in January, we are thrilled to welcome Thomas John back for two very special nights of messages. The response from our January gatherings said it all: “I don’t think people realize what an opportunity it is to have such an intimate gathering with Thomas where your odds of receiving a reading are so high.” “We need him to come back so I can bring all of my friends. This was an amazing experience!” During these events, Thomas will deliver messages from Spirit and Loved Ones to as many attendees as possible. Whether you personally receive a message or simply witness the experience, the room fills with validation, healing, and moments that stay with you long after the night ends. I can personally say that my own reading with Thomas was profoundly healing, and in January I watched so many hearts soften, open, and heal through the messages shared. These events will sell out again. Space is limited - so grab your tickets now and be part of something truly special!
