Valley Bookseller is teaming up with Candlewick Press to host the Find Waldo Local event! Come down to the store to get your stamp card to participate.

Waldo is hidden in participating stores in downtown Stillwater and it is such a fun hide-and-seek game that also encourages you to patronize local businesses.

Complete your stamp card to be entered for a grand prize drawing that will take place during our Waldo Party on Sunday, July 28th at 4pm. For the first 35 party go-ers, you will also get a free trolley ride around town and we will have plenty of Waldo fun, snacks and giveaways!

Summer Arts Camp at the Phipps is back with a variety of options for seven fun-filled weeks. Preschoolers, kids and teens can immerse themselves in dance, theater and visual arts classes that develop skills, grow the imagination, encourage self-expression and build friendships! Mix and match different art forms, and class times across mornings, afternoons, and weeks to create your own, unique Summer Arts Camp experience.

This photographic show highlights inspirations from multiple places in the USA and overseas, especially Ireland (Eire). There are both representational and impressionistic pieces highlighting the beauty and drama of vast landscapes, the tiny details of nature, and the mystery, peace, and joy to be found in human culture.

Art’s House Gallery is thrilled to host the first CAB Annual Member Show Thursday, June 20, 2024 to Saturday, August 3, 2024.  This show is open to all active CAB members and is a visible feast of eclectic art of all media types from painting and pottery to glass, photography, and art to wear.

CAB members not only support local arts, many of them are artists themselves.  The CAB Annual Member Show is a great opportunity to showcase a variety of artistic styles and media at all levels of artistic expression.  Come show your support for our CAB artists!

The Mobile Art Gallery will also be open on our side lawn with a new group exhibition entitled “Artwork, once captive has gone free,” in collaboration with the Stillwater Prison education department. Artist awards will be presented at 7:30pm. We hope to see you there!

This intro COURSE is designed for someone who has never experienced pole fitness and wants to learn the art of pole in a fun and welcoming environment.

- All participants within this class must be 14 years or older.**Ages 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before your 1st class.**

The Valley Concert Winds are pleased to present their first summer concert of 2024 on Thursday, July 11, 6:30 – 7:30 PM, at Washington Square Park. Join your local community band for this free, family-friendly outdoor concert! Performing excellent wind ensemble repertoire that appeals to all ages and musical backgrounds, the Valley Concert Winds strive to build a lifelong appreciation of music right here in Stillwater--just blocks from Lily Lake and Nelson's ice cream.

The performance program includes a variety of music in orchestral and jazz styles, along with marches and film scores. Learn as you listen, and let the band be your soundtrack for this classic rivertown evening. Concert changes due to weather will be announced on the VCW website. The VCW summer concert season concludes on Thursday, Aug. 15, 6:30 PM, at Heritage Square Park in Stillwater.

Shakespeare in the Vines! - Romeo & Juliet

An evening of romance, comedy, tragedy, and sword fighting! Enter the world of this Shakespearean classic, overlooking the vineyard, glowing at dusk, and ending under the stars.

The Mobile Art Gallery takes the show on the road with a group exhibition entitled “Artwork, once captive has gone free,” in collaboration with the Stillwater Prison education department.

Featuring 6-word memoirs and visual artwork from incarcerated persons, “Artwork, once captive has gone free,” highlights the importance of the arts in restorative justice and education.

The Mobile Art Gallery, a program of ArtReach St. Croix, will travel throughout the St. Croix Valley this summer and into the autumn, bringing the inmates stories into the landscape.
