In my birdhouse, I really wanted to model Carl’s house in the move UP! To capture the Victorian styled furnishes, I cut planks of balsa wood into segments and mounted them using wood glue. I then painted it with an oil-based acrylic. For the balloon cluster, I poked multiple wires into the base of a half foam sphere. I then glued water balloons filled with cotton around the foam. I also added a porch with columns and stairs.

I am an 8th grader at Stillwater Junior High. I really enjoy taking advantage of the great art opportunities offered here in Stillwater. I have entered several times at the Da Vinci Fest art festival. I have always had a special place in my heart for art. My favorite pieces are usually mixed media.
