Running from June 13 - 21, the Queer Crawl is a joyful, self-directed Pride event during the third week of June that is a riff on the popular “beer crawls” that bring patrons to various establishments for fun and celebration. The Wild Wanderers Hiking Club invites people of all ages to explore the St. Croix and Namekagon Riverway through guided hikes in some of the most beautiful lands that define our region. Sliding Scale of of $20.00, $35.00 or $50.00 /person Come celebrate the seasonal changes in the natural world! Vernal Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumnal Equinox, Winter Solstice, each brings us to a new season, a new place in our annual trip around the sun. We will gather together indoors to share some seasonal refreshments and some easy centering exercises. We will then move out to the woods and prairies for walking meditations and experiences in the natural world. We will end our time together with light refreshments around the fire. Wear comfortable layers and be prepared for any weather. Ages 16 and up This course is led by Lynette Anderson. Lynette is involved with both programming and land management at Belwin Conservancy. She enjoys creating walks and talks that showcase the great work being done to restore native habitat for all the critters and plants. She also gets to be involved with the work that creates the habitat, which she loves. Each day holds something different for her. Some days she is working with her body on the land, some days she does reconnaissance for a program, some days she works with volunteers, and some days, nights or evenings she gets to lead a group to some amazing phenological event happening on Belwin property. Activity Rating: 3~ Walking moderate distances with some steps and/or stairs and standing.

What is the state of the St. Croix Valley's water resources? Where are we seeing improvements and what new challenges do we face? Presented by Angie Hong, Water Education Senior Specialist with Washington Conservation District. Angie Hong is the coordinator for Minnesota’s East Metro Water Resource Education Program, a local government partnership with 30 members, hosted by the Washington Conservation District and is also the author of “Exploring the St. Croix River Valley: Adventures on and off the Water”. Angie lives in Stillwater with husband Gary, son Charlie, dog Molly, and cats Teddy, Twilight, and Clover. In her free time, she enjoys singing, gardening, and exploring the outdoors.

Explore the outdoors with your little one through a story, engaging activities and a hands-on craft. This special program is designed for children ages 3-6 and their adults, but older or younger siblings are welcome. Learn something new while making memories at the park. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Start the fun near the park's visitor center (Traprock St., Taylors Falls, MN). This program is typically held outdoors and lasts about 45 minutes. In the event of rain or extreme heat, the program will take place indoors at the nearby Naturalist Office. The program is free, but vehicles in the park will need a Minnesota state park vehicle permit ($7 for a daily permit or $35 for an annual permit).
