Add your unique touches to your butter dish! Dishes will be fired and ready for pick up about 2-3 weeks after the class.

Join us at Gammelgården Museum for this outdoor festival celebrating the beauty of the Summer Day. Dating back to ancient times, Midsommardagen marks the longest day of the year and welcomes back warm weather. Enjoy traditional Swedish music, group folk dancing, hands-on activities, arts, crafts, and vendor fair, demonstrations by artists, and, in the center of it all, the Majstång/Midsommarstång (May/Midsummer Pole), freshly decorated with spring greenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch with a wide array of food offered by three food trucks. Bring a chair and a blanket to enjoy your picnic on the museum grounds. Note that alcohol is not allowed on museum property. REFUGEE VOICES: An Evening with Author Kao Kalia Yang
Presented by Trinity Lutheran Church at Trinity Lutheran Church Stillwater, MN
Kao Kalia Yang—best-selling author, teacher and poet—will speak at Trinity at 6:30pm. She will address her journey as a refugee, her latest book which explores a young Hmong-American’s search for a true home, and the importance of welcoming refugees. Yang is the author of the acclaimed The Late Homecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir, The Song Poet, as well as a wide array of adult, young adult, and children’s books. Her works have won seven Minnesota Books Awards, among other honors. She is a McKnight Arts Fellow and a frequent lecturer. The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:00 with seating on a first come, first served basis. Yang’s talk will be followed by a Q&A session and a book signing with books available through Valley Booksellers. The Trinity Missions team thanks the Stillwater Public Library and Stillwater Public Library Foundation for helping to sponsor this program.
